Geoff Farr – CEO/Software Engineer

Graduated MSc Hons in mathematics from The University of Auckland in 1970.

1971 to 1980 Lecturer/Senior Lecturer Dept. Mathematics and Computing Queensland Institute of Technology Capricornia. Now called Central Queensland University (CQU).

Geoff established Equinox Software in 1980.

Equinox Software

The Company developed software systems for liveweight cattle sales, later incorporating RFID recognition of each animal. It also developed weighing related applications for quarries, concrete and asphalt batch plants, waste management, locomotive balancing and other fields.

With a then 90% Australian market share, Equinox sold the liveweight selling software to Livestock Exchange Pty Ltd in 2003. Since then the company has concentrated fully on its concrete batching, quarry and weighbridge products.
